Latina-Owned, Creativity Driven | San Francisco Bay Area

I started Shutter Theory with one idea in mind: photography is less about posing, and more about remembering.

My love for image-making began in the fine art world, where I learned that creativity isn’t just a skill — it’s a language. It’s how I’ve always made sense of people, emotion, and the spaces we hold between one another.

My work leans cinematic and documentary, drawn to the in-between moments — the glance before the smile, the silence between laughter, the unguarded truth that lives in every person I photograph.

As a Latina, I carry a deep love for cultural moments—the ones that speak of heritage, connection, and belonging. Honoring those stories through my lens reminds me that photography is also preservation: a way of saying we were here, and we mattered.

Whether it’s a portrait, a family, or a love story, my goal is simple — to capture what’s real, what’s fleeting, and what will one day remind you who you were in this exact moment.

We are expanding to weddings and more family photos in 2026!
