I was born in New York and raised in The Bay Area with chapters of my life unfolding in the South and the Midwest. Each place taught me something different about people - how they love, express, and create belonging. I’ve always been the self-proclaimed weird art girl, sketchbook in hand, chasing beauty in the overlooked and imperfect.
My love for fine art came from my father. He was the first to show me how creativity could be a way of life - and he’s the one who first placed a camera in my hands. But even before that, I was drawn to the family photos I carried with me from house to house. Those images were proof of where I came from - and reminders of everything I didn’t want to lose.
Now through Shutter Theory, I aim to give that same gift to others.
